After marrying into the Bacardi family, Monika Bacardi was named Lady of Bayfield Hall. She currently resides in Monaco, which she moved to over twenty years ago. She is originally from Italy. Having developed a keen interest in philanthropy and art, she pursued studies in arts and literature there. Caring for other people is something Monika Bacardi really loves to do, so it is hardly a surprise that she is connected with many charitable organisations and non-profit organisations.

l'Opera de Monte Carlo has been assisted by Amis de l'Opera (an organisation that Monika Bacardi has contributed greatly to) for over thirty years.
